MET Group
Multimedia and Embedded Technologies Group (MET Group) consists of 4 research laboratories
Passionate Innovation Laboratory
PiLab is a research laboratory in the fields of computer vision, multimedia (such as augmented reality technology, virtual reality technology, or mixed reality technology), and human behavior based on the diverse interests of the research team. It is also open to other related research topics driven by passion and fascination. With the rapid changes in information technology, we believe that knowledge development built on passion, care, and fascination combined with the expertise and diversity of our research team will be a key driving force for producing works, research outputs, and new knowledge suitable for the 21st century world that can respond effectively to rapid changes.
Laboratory Faculty: Asst. Prof. Dr. Siri-on Wittayakorn, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornsuree Jamsri, Asst. Prof. Dr. Samart Mud and
Interactive Media and Security Laboratory
iMSEC Lab is a multimedia research laboratory focusing on facilitating learning and the use of multimedia technology for users to be easier. IME's research mission includes studying and developing principles of interaction with multimedia between computers and users for various benefits, designing and applying interactive media in various fields, studying, researching, and developing techniques for online learning management, and researching and developing techniques as well as tools for creating multimedia content, interactive media, and computer games.
Laboratory Faculty: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopporn Chotikakamthorn, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanboon Satitwiriyawong
Image Processing and Deep Learning
IPDL Lab is a research laboratory interested in static and video image processing to enhance quality, detect objects in images, or teach computers to recognize objects in images similar to human eyes seeing images and sending them to the brain to learn and recognize various objects. In summary, this lab studies and attempts to enable computers to learn and recognize various objects from input images, whether still images or video.
Laboratory Faculty: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kantpong Waratpanya, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thorawit Thitijaroonroj, Asst. Prof. Dr. Praphan Pawarangkoon
Machine Intelligence and Vision Laboratory
MIV Lab is a vision and artificial intelligence research laboratory focused on interdisciplinary scientific research to solve complex problems and significant challenges in computational vision and artificial intelligence, particularly related to real-time environmental understanding using advanced deep learning methods. The laboratory emphasizes developing applications related to image and video data analysis, mapping and localization, navigation, biometric authentication, reinforcement learning, augmented reality, and decision support systems.
Laboratory Faculty: Asst. Prof. Dr. Somkiat Wangsiripitak
