Students from the School of Information Technology, KMITL, won the 1st Runner-up award in the Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026 Asia-Pacific Regional Level
Undergraduate students from the School of Information Technology, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), made an international reputation by winning1st Runner-up Awardfrom the information and communication technology competition in the Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026 Asia-Pacific Regional Level organized by Huawei Technologies in collaboration with ASEAN Foundation during May 12–14, 2026, at ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia, with students from leading universities across 13 countries in the Asia-Pacific region participating
The student team from the School of Information Technology, KMITL, under the team name “SIGKILL” was selected to represent Thailand in the regional competition after winning 1st prize in the Computing Track category at the national level in November 2025. The team members are
1. Mr. Peeranut Madsor4th-year student in Information Technology
2. Mr. Jarukitti Sripaplern4th-year student in Information Technology
3. Mr. Tippda Chuenprempreed2nd-year student in Information Technology
This success was achieved under the supervision and guidance of faculty members from the School of Information Technology, including Associate Professor Dr. Chotiphat Pornvalai, Assistant Professor Dr. Sumeth Prawat, and Assistant Professor Dr. Laphat Pradittasanee.
From this competition result, the team “SIGKILL” will represent the Asia-Pacific region to participate in the Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026 Global Final to compete with winning teams from various regions worldwide. The event is scheduled from June 2–5, 2026, at the headquarters of Huawei Technologies, Shenzhen, People's Republic of China.
