

Students from the School of Information Technology, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) brought honor to the institute by participating in the Huawei National ICT Competition 2025–2026 and winning awards in multiple categories from the national-level Information and Communication Technology (ICT) competition organized by Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
This competition was organized to promote and develop the potential of Thai students in digital technology, preparing them for current and future industry demands. It emphasizes integrating theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and the application of advanced technology in real situations, covering key technologies such as Cloud Computing, Networking, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Digital Infrastructure
The competition format allows higher education students from institutions nationwide to participate in team form through the National Round, which tests ICT knowledge online, focusing on deep knowledge, practical problem-solving (Hands-on Lab / Scenario-based Problem), as well as problem analysis and technology solution design. Judging is done by experts from Huawei.
This year's results showed that students from the School of Information Technology, KMITL, demonstrated outstanding potential and received awards in several categories as follows
First prize in the Computing Track category, Team SIGKILL
First runner-up in the Computing Track category, Team Compnet
First runner-up in the Network Track category, Team High Templar
Second runner-up in the Computing Track category, Team Songbahyeesib
Second runner-up in the Cloud Track category, Team Machima
Associate Professor Dr. Chotiphat Phornwally, Assistant Professor Dr. Sumet Prapawat, and Assistant Professor Dr. Laphat Praditthasanee served as advisors, providing guidance and support for the teams in preparing for the competition.
Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. held the award ceremony for the Huawei National ICT Competition 2025–2026 on December 18, 2025, with Dr. Chawapon Jariyawirot, Chairman of Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., opening the event, and Mr. Xu Jinshuai, Chief of Strategy, presenting awards to the winning teams.
The success of the students from the School of Information Technology, KMITL, reflects the quality of teaching, professional skill development, and the university's commitment to producing digital technology graduates who are ready for employment and can compete at both national and international levels
